Here the very best professional floristry displays show how plants and flowers can be used in the home, including
traditional and modern styles. There is also a programme of talks and demonstrations managed by the Flowers
and Plants Association.
The opportunity to enter a piece of work for RHS Hampton Court 2009 happened because of Hadlow College.
The floral energy theme includes natural energy topics, such as growth, the energising power of plants and nature, and creative energy. Our design was entitled ‘The Four Elements’, earth, air, water and fire. Which gave me the opportunity to create something innovative with a modern twist.
Peter is a very talented artist and is very determined and dedicated. Weeks of preparation for the event led to a very pressured few days when everything as always came together superbly and were amazed when finally we could step back and enjoy the occasion.
A big thank you to the Hadlow team, for their hard work and long hours, these thanks go to especially Kim, Karen, Laura, Tracey, Venna and a huge thank you to Neil Bain for all his support throughout the project. It was my pleasure to work with such enthusiastic and supportive team.
The live demonstrations in the marquee were a big hit with the audience and saw member florists Sarah Horne, Claire Cowling and Dennis van Wonderen creating inspirational and beautiful displays whilst highlighting the benefits of using a florist to purchase fresh flowers for the home.
For a virtual tour with a 360º angle of the marquee please visit
